Twenty years of Guineueta skatepark and next year is the 10th anniversary of the corner me and my friend Dany built… Barcelona didn’t have any skateparks, everything was shit and we needed to build something to skate a real one… that was the idea of building that D.I.Y.
We hit Velbert just after it was finished. There was a big hole in the deep-end that was not closed which limited our lines a little. But overall, the bowl is realy nice to skate. Crazy lines with the bump in the middle and a nice mix of different transitions. Pool stones in the deep-end and some stairs in a quick corner.
Saint Lys is a super accessible bowl, perfect to learn to carve with power, perfect to make loud grinds, like all the work we do at with the ZUT CREW, we make the most from the least, from your entrails till your leather, from her womb to her skin, the building of a skatepark is a kind of love-hate relationship, and as hard as it may be to imagine, things made with love, are love…. enjoy dogs…
Ever since I started skateboarding, it was not only about standing on a piece of plywood, but also about using all kinds of readily available material to shape your surroundings in order to be able to skate them – that’s what skateboarding to me is all about. The more skateparks that are being built, the harder it gets to deliver this message to the kids. It makes a huge different if you skate something that you built with your own hands. A homemade ramp can be all shitty and bumpy but it doesn’t matter because you designed and constructed it yourself.
Pudi made some new Pool Coping for a DIY Project in Köln, Germany
A year ago, we started with a small concrete quarter pipe. We didn’t know how long it would stay there, so we were really happy with our little spot. After a while, we built up a wobble and a china bank and still, no one teared it down. So we went big and built a corner, complete with Pudi’s Pool Coping.
From Niels Naber, Burnside Constructions: “We are currently working on a last minute, hardcore diy project in Amsterdam, made with stuff found on site. It’s called the Amsterdam Pool Project and was initiated by 2 local artists Miktor and Molf.”
Pudi lives in Southern Germany and makes pool coping for various concrete park and DIY projects around europe. Recently he got extra creative and made some “mosaique works” as a surprise gift for Bruno who was working on his new Concrete Project: CONCRETE DREAMS and building a new park in Oostende, Beligum.

While I was down staying in a hotel in an industrial shit hole of a town, Spreitenbach, which is near the grand city of Zürich, Switzerland I was contacted by Lars Greiwe and Bertrand Trichet to let me know they’d be taking care of business in Basel, about 45 minutes from where I was staying.
