I’ve never been satisfied to just skate the surrounding spots in my area. I’m always looking for new places and when I can’t find something I’d like to skate, I build a new spot or change one that needs fixing to make it skateable.

The Fernando Elvira Interview

It´s been around ten years ago since I first met Fernando. He was visiting our common friend, Pipas, in Switzerland and they came over for a skate session in the barn. We did not talk much back then and we didn´t have a real connection. He was mostly sitting somewhere drawing in a notebook, while everyone else got stoned when not skating. When dinner time came he sat on the side picking a raw cabbage and I remember asking him what was up with that. He told me he was as a raw foodist and how he got into that.

Skate Rock Party- Cadiz, Spain

After a big hit with the previous“Infernal ramp contest” and the completion of ramps at the OLD SCHOOL SK8 CLUB at a warehouse on Carpinteria 14 in Cadiz, Spain, the members of the Club and Skate events got together and organized the SKATE ROCK PARTY, a skateboard event full of skating, girls and Rock & Roll.

With a holy death and the devil there waiting on the ramp, the hordes of skaters were already preparing to enter the infernal ramp, the coven was served, and everyone would fight to get the keys of hell.

Pipeline Reunion – Badlands Bash in Upland, California

Words could not describe the amazing skating that went down at Upland Skatepark celebrated by the Hoffman Family and the 35th anniversary of the Pipeline with their “Badlands Bash”. Dave Duncan was on the mic, but Salba was running the show.

Skaters included legends: Salba, Malba, Tony Hawk, Lance Mountain, Mike McGill, Steve Caballero, Eddie Elguera, Christian Hosoi, Sergie Ventura, and Jay Adams. Lots of up and coming sons of Badlanders including Frankie Fernandez, Kevin Burke and Tristan Rennie held it down and insured the Badlands are in good hands for generations to come.

Hallows Eve Bowl Bash 2011: Lake Forest, California

Etnies Skatepark’s new shark pool drew 500 skaters Friday night for the annual Hallows Eve Bowl Contest. The fourth annual event featured competitions in four divisions. Everyone wore costumes and the crowd was treated to live music by Killing California and skate rock legends JFA.

Dietsches’s Pool Dreams of Californication

Dietsches, founder of OMSA (Old Men Skate Association), in Düsseldorf, Germany, headed over to Southern California in the dead of German winter to skate some pools and hang out in the California sun with his friend Keith Stephenson (owner of Addikt Skateboards) as well as Lance Mountain, pool skate writer Ozzie, Kenny King, Tony Alva, Jay Adams and more… sometimes dreams can become reality.
