2ER D.I.Y JAM – Hannover, Germany (Part 1)

On arrival I don’t think anyone really knew what we were getting ourselves into for the following week back in early June in Hannover, Germany. The basic concept was that the 2er [tsvi-er] crew had the idea to invite D.I.Y skate crews from all corners of Europe to come to their spot and each team would be given three days to build something.

Wallie Cup – Montréal, Canada

On the 27th of October, 2012, the National Wallie Cup took place in Montréal. Originally invented by Pontus Alv, owner of Polar Skateboards in Sweden, Yan Tremblay the head behind Projet45 and as of recently, owner of YTdistribution, threw the same contest this year in Montréal, before hurricanes or earthquakes come to destroy our lovely Canada.

Halloween Bowl Jam – Owl Bowl – Cologne, Germany

Halloween Bowl Jam in the Owl Bowl, at the NorthBrigade skatepark in Cologne, with glüwine, hot chili and a chilly concrete bowl, skating in the cold german night, on All Hallows’ Eve.

Infernal Ramp: Cadiz, Spain

With a holy death and the devil there waiting on the ramp, the hordes of skaters were already preparing to enter the infernal ramp, the coven was served, and everyone would fight to get the keys of hell.

Ripollet Bowl Party – Barcelona, Spain

On July 7th, a few miles from Barcelona, we had the luck to enjoy the first RIPOLLET BOWL PARTY organized by the Ripollet City Council, Gypsy Skateboarding and Adventures, Hey Ho Skateshop, Maccaroni Distribution, Bastard Clothing and Confusion DIY Magazine, to celebrate the official opening of the park.

OWL BOWL opening – Cologne, Germany

October 1st was a momentous day in Cologne with the opening of the first concrete bowl in Germany’s fourth largest city. Built by IOU Ramps and the local skaters of Cologne, the OWL BOWL is located at the NorthBrigade Skatepark, which has been open since the 1980s. Skaters from around Germany showed up for the opening party which was graced with sunny skies, which at this time of the year is a treat, as there was just as much chance the rain would shut down the event.

Barrier Barge Ballina Skatepark – New South Wales, Australia

The concrete had just finished hardening and it was time to give the “improved” barrier a proper shredding so Tony Chavez organized the first “Barrier Barge” event at the Ballina Skatepark in New South Wales, Oz. A last-minute decision put this event on a sunny Thursday afternoon and Tony brought out plenty of beer and snags, with TruckStop Sk8 shop, Confusion Magazine, and the Free Beule campaign throwing in some merchandise for prizes.
