In Mid-January I set sail to join my belgian friend Kjell van Hansewyck of MakeLifeSkateLife.org for their latest project in Vientiane, capital of Laos, where we were about to build the nation’s first public concrete skatepark
After the previous edition was completely rained out, we could count on beautiful weather this year. (We’re still grateful for the last-minute tent that allowed us to skate a bit last year.)

A couple of years ago, we got the need with the family to leave our old soviet flat and seek for a house. For months, we struggled to find the One but finally found a perfect little old house in central Tallinn. In the backyard, it has a tiny garden with a little green garage/barn.
The few times I was able to get out to roll and capture souls it was very quickly settled that I was going back to the island.
Built in April of 2021, money for materials by United States government stimulus checks and donations. Builders paid in room and beers, food and mushrooms.
A few bags of crete mix can make a huge difference and build community in your local area. Get out there and make a difference!
