Sign of the times. DIWHY

Sergej Vutuc x Love Skateboards x Project 45

After a few collaborations with a canadian company I decided to hit the road in Canada and explore their local scene and make more tight bond between Love Skateboards and my work.

Psyland – Maya pool 2.0 – Germany

The notorious LITTLE SWASTIKA is re-creating his previous diy pool project, Maya Pool in his new spot called Psyland in southern Germany. There’s a lot of digging going down each day, and in the evening Marc (aka Little Swastika) has his Kritzerl Krazel art show at the Neuwerk großser Saal in Konstanz, Germany, where he will be doing a massive back piece tattoo on four people, open to the public to experience this live art tattoo performance piece.

Behind the Lens: Arto Saari

I think with digital age it’s a lot more accessible and your learning curve can be faster. At the end of the day, it’s not so much about the gear, it’s more about your view and lighting that makes the picture. You could have the best stove in the world, but it doesn’t make you a great chef.

Futaba tunnel – Fukushima, Japan

Futaba tunnel is one of the closest skate spots from the Fukushima nuclear plants. It was a hard and fun spot.

Satanic Hex against Scooters

It’s about a Satanic Goat with a gas mask, which is a skate truck. Also this mask is to protect the toxic smoke of skull of scooters. These are burning and at the same time it forms a satanic star inside the skull which is a skate bowl. Artwork by: Bec Negre

Axel “Pudi” Görger & Jocko Weyland – “Holz & Beton“

Starting in San Diego, hardened by the nexus of skateboarding’s emergence in the late 1950s, to Freiburg, where the virus had spread by the late 1970s, the two artists in this exhibition managed to forge, across time and space, a twenty-five year connection related to their passion for riding a simple plank attached by metal axles to four urethane wheels.

Sergej Vutuc “Coincidence” in Japan

Coincidence or maybe just Strong Reaction of my searching to see more to exchange. A few months ago I was planing to do japan tour but nothing, then tokyo happened. But something inside was telling me leave things to happen… so how I chose was to fly and stepping on the far east road… spirit of untitled family friends of friends our friends were there… and I am back to discover something from me to learn many new things. Amazing hospitality!!!

Boldrider art sale – concrete fund raiser – Postojna, Slovenia

“There was just one session on the indoor mini ramp at Pumpa because outside it was raining so we couldn’t skate the bowl. There were different artists selling art, photos, zines, cds, lps and other things. We sold them to collect money for buying new concrete. That’s it!” – Deso / R.O.W.

Pontus Alv skates barriers like he invented them. We used to be good friends, but since he has his own skateboard company (Polar skateboards) he turns down my artworks and barely returns my emails. Thing is, I am all about unconditional love these days, therefore, impervious to rejection.

CONS SPACE 001 BCN – Barcelona, Spain

On my way to Barcelona to infiltrate as a double agent: working for a big multinational as an artist and at the same time working as photojournalist for this almighty underground skateboard magazine. Self-portrait taken inside the train bathroom. Fuck airports and their tight-ass regulations. In the train I can bring a pair of big scissors, a knife, a skateboard and lots and lots of liquids.
