The annual Bergfest is one of the best skate contests in Germany, if not Europe. Although it is technically a contest, this year’s event was more underground and diy with less big name sponsors and not so concerned with handing out big checks to the winners, but more interested in everyone having a good time…
After a rained out edition, Giulio Green and the Murder crew didn’t wait a year to cook up part two.
2014 R&R SK8 CONTEST celebrated March 29th, in El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz.
It wasn’t only the first Saturday of 2014 but for us it was also a Confusion Day. We ended the day with a superb contest and we had fun. Thankfully, we had no “hall of meat”, no one got injured although we did brake one skateboard deck.
This is the third year that we (G’nassis) organized the Malinas Machinas event in Mechelen. The first year we didn’t really knew what we were doing, but we knew that we wanted skateboarding, bands playing and the bowl filled up with water for a pool party. And that all ended up super good, so we decided to do it again the next year in pirate style.
Lohse Ramp Party 2013 – Köln, Germany – June 29th, 2013. There was a contest. The Schöne Hubätz played afterwards. Good times… I don’t remember who won.
This years Ultrabowl took place in the main park at Stapelbäddsparken. The only part of the contest that took place in the “backyard pool” styled bowl was the Masters, but that didn’t stop a few others from dropping in on the action.
Sergej Vutuc was in P-Town to set up a photo exhibition and check out Unheard Distribution’s invitational contest. He took some more “behind the scenes” photos, and he had this to say: “Rad contest…. almost like session… definitely gives special soul to event and great start for future events. The rest you can see and hear in video… one band on loud speakers (slayer) and rad skating. that’s it.”
Designed by concrete killer Julien Benoliel from Marseille, the bowl is being built for the “Julien Benoliel’s DIY bowl invitational contest” taking place April 26th. If you didn’t hear about it, well, I guess you weren’t invited.
