Hanover DIY – Germany

This year we discovered a tight and steep ditch close to the swimming spot. Some friends and bmx riders already cleaned a little part of the ditch and filled some cracks, but it was still barely possible to ride with a board…

Rekalde Pool – Basque Country

Some friends of La Kantera went to visit the owner of Crossbone handmade skateboards and this pool near there house. A pool with natural water from the river. It was difficult to skate because it was wet, but this is our first trip to this pool, we want dry it, and skate it again!

Helmbrechts skatepark – Bavaria, Germany

Martin Ehrenberger of Blackriver, designed the park based on the notion of creating a park accessible to all skateboarders – regardless of their skill level.

Neudrossenfeld Skatepark. Overview.

Neudrossenfeld Skatepark – Germany

The chances you have heard about a tiny village one hour north of Nürnberg in the North-Bavarian outback called Neudrossenfeld are virtually zero. Designed by Blackriver Ramps and built last year together with the Yamato crew from Hannover and the legendary Baum, this park is a perfect combination of flow, street, and bowl.

Backyard Pool. Bavaria, Germany

With the recent concrete developments in Hirschgarten, Heidelburg and Moos, you’d think there wouldn’t be much to update in the next months about new German ‘crete. And then bam! Baum sent in this update from the Bavarian outback – a backyard ‘made to skate’ pool he’s been working on in the backyard of Black River. Concrete coming next week! So who said there’s nothing good to skate in Germany?

Eisbach River Surfing – Munich, Germany

The Eisbach is a river in Munich that breaks in 2-3 feet of cold water. Surf’s up all year round if you have a wetsuit!
Officially, surfing is not allowed in the river, but who cares. The standing wave can be surfed for as long as you don’t fall, which can allow for a lot longer waves than even “real” waves, but don’t think you don’t have to deal with crowds! As soon as one guy is down, the next is on the wave. Locals only bro! No Kayakers!!
