After 13 years of pouring concrete #wörgldiy finally held it’s official opening party. Over a decade in the making one of Europe’s largest DIY skateparks celebrates with a real skateboard party: Volcom brought their riders to the Austrian alps, there were €2000 for best trick sessions in different areas of the park and the most outstanding tricks were awarded with special trophies by Independent Trucks.
Cold beer and BBQ during the day as well as a live concert right at the skatepark in the evening round up the event. And as if having a great time wasn’t reason enough to be there, the whole fun and games even served a good cause: all revenues at the bar went to the children’s cancer aid!
The BIG OPENING of this new epic skateboarding and subculture paradise is on August 30th 2014. There will be a sick skate jam / best trick session, a photo exhibition (25 years of skateboarding in Kassel), a few bands, an after show party and of course lots of friendly, crazy, hard partying people from (hopefully) everywhere in the world.

Last Sunday Wasted Box skate shop opened their doors with an all day art/photo show from Brusk Collective, Sergej Vutuc, and Herr Schulze, with a freshly constructed skateable installation by Koet Construction that was the focus of the day, into the nights entertainment. Free beers and pot stickers were on hand throughout the evening as psychotic skateboarding went on in the corner of the dark and dingy cellar below….
