By day, it lives as a pit stop for those seeking employment and headrest central. A rainy-day safe haven. And by night it’s a nocturnal hideaway the destitute grip as a concrete congregation section. The Home Depot DIY in Los Angeles has been embraced by many, but there’s one group who calls this glass shard setting home once a year in the wee hours, Less Than Local.

Board Spirit Marseille organized at La Friche Belle de Mai the “SKATEPUNK”: aconcept as simple as it iss obvious: skateboarding, punk rock, screaming, bruises, and countless hangovers.
International Olympic Committee did not like it and said if the people who wished to represent skateboarding in the Olympics did not do what was needed to be done (get drug tested), then skateboarding would not be let in the games.
We had the will and that’s what pushed us forward. There were many times, because of interferences by the city council, that we almost stopped and gave up, but pride, strength, and our internal struggles made it possible that after 12 years, that piece of concrete hope still remians, something we built then because we needed a decent place to skate, and as a symbol of protest against a city that discriminated and labeled us delinquents, and still does to this day.
