since the big wooden spine miniramp had to be torn down due to constant wear and tear over the years, the park definitely needed a lift up. So Michael was once more able to convince conservative politicians to spend money, this time on a concrete bowl and he raised some more dough from sponsors out of the skate scene as well to fill the last financial void …
After two months we already had our own skatepark! We never had any kind of sponsorship from skateshops or brands – just from the skaters! Many materials were taken from old construction sites nearby so we could save a lot of money for more barbecue and beers!
The Beauty was our beloved indoor Pool in the Autonomous Beauty Salon in Zürich. Since the squat got evicted in spring 2014, we started to plan for a new winter spot.
