Jakob Robinson was ripping from the get go, grinding and carving through the bowl (loose trucks save lives) as fast as he can! Smith grinds, boneless ones, front rocks & hurricane rocks on the high wall, slob plants and texas plants over the Wheel of Fortune. The kid just craves, grinds, smacks and blasts everything!
Tony Chavez is one of the OG’s and builders of Creekside. He is passionate and knows it intimately. Speed, grinding, power, there is no section of Creekside that is safe from his trucks!
It was Shoota’s first visit and you could see the stoke in his eyes. It didn’t take him long to get a feel for the curves and start finding some lines. Backside 5-0’s, front side tail slides and huge positive energy abound. And as the darkness took hold, I mean it was nearly friggin’ pitch black, Shoota was the first to land a frontside stalefish over the Wheel of Fortune. Bang! (Ed: We’ve got another super sick photo of Shoota, but we’re saving it for the mag. Print is king).
Izy Mutu was relaxed and chillin’ this afternoon and I guess she was just humbled after watching Shoota & Jakob absolutely demolish Creekside! She still managed to lay down some frontside grinds at the end of a full day of skating and filming at some concrete parks in the area. Check out the video she edited from the whole day below.
The light was gone, the mozzies were totally taking over and the skaters were no longer in charge! And that’s an afternoon at Creekside. Fun had by all.
An afternoon with Hoax MFG riders Tony Chavez, Izy Mutu, Jakob Robinson, Steve “Shoota” Kelly plus Shanae Collins, and Hamish Nolan at Creekside D.I.Y in Australia. You’ll have to ignore my terrible video & audio editing. Either way I hope you get a sense of the crazy awesomeness that Creekside is, you won’t survive it without loooose trucks!
