The Urban Day Ripollet Bowl Party went down on July 6th, 2013 at Ripollet skatepark on the outskirts of Barcelona, Spain. A fun day in the sun with lots of free skate products, clothes and shoes for all the winners, and everyone was a winner this day!
On my way to Barcelona to infiltrate as a double agent: working for a big multinational as an artist and at the same time working as photojournalist for this almighty underground skateboard magazine. Self-portrait taken inside the train bathroom. Fuck airports and their tight-ass regulations. In the train I can bring a pair of big scissors, a knife, a skateboard and lots and lots of liquids.
Four months of intense building were needed to build the first skatepark with such a huge bowl in Perú and in the whole subcontinent, except Brazil. The skatepark was ready to be named: Converse Skatepark, 100% financed by the big company, and ready to be inaugurated: the company wanted things to be done the great way, inviting three of its international riders – Rune Glifberg, Mike Anderson and Renato Souza.
