FDR skatepark – July 4th, 2017

Every year a new piece of the ever-expanding puzzle falls into place. On 4th of July, we celebrate our small slice of freedom in the only way we know how — skateboarding, punk rock, beer, and more fireworks than you could ever ask for.

Pura Pura, Bolivia – Un, Dos, Tres, Concrete!

The park is sick. Well most of us left before we got to see it all completed which was a little disheartening, but what was there was rad. The floor is a bit ghetto in places and, in contrast, some of the ramps are professional enough to be seen on a actual official skatepark build – this kind of sums up the entire build: somewhere between a skatepark and doing a DIY job.

Overview

Rogersville DIY – Corpus Christi, Texas

Getting old sucks. One has to get a “job”, “be responsible”, hang overs get worse, healing after slams take longer and other lame “adult” like things. What doesn’t suck about getting old: Friendships grow stronger, one can start drinking any time of the day…

2ER D.I.Y JAM – Hannover, Germany (Part 1)

On arrival I don’t think anyone really knew what we were getting ourselves into for the following week back in early June in Hannover, Germany. The basic concept was that the 2er [tsvi-er] crew had the idea to invite D.I.Y skate crews from all corners of Europe to come to their spot and each team would be given three days to build something.

Garage: DIY or CRY, beers and rock´n´roll – Czech Republic

Never ending beer discussions had to stop. Every one of us wanted to build something and it was time to get radical. One day around 2 o´clock in the morning we were enlightened! We found the message carved in our table at the bar. We finished a few more beers (and a few shots), got the whole crew together and started to search for the spot.

Logr Crew (Czech Republic) discover Beauty and the Beast

One time LOGR got packed up, got into the van, got the engine started for a journey through Europe. Lógr lived from one day to another with no roof above, nowhere to sleep and without knowing what to expect the next morning. And on the road, we hit the beautiful Swiss city of Zürich, where we met Beauty and the Beast!

Brusk Collective / Consolidated Skate Team in Brussels/Belgium

This Saturday, May 8th, is the Fiesta Des Ursulines, in the Square des Ursulines in Brussels, Belgium.
This event celebrates Brusk Collective’s success of their social-urbanistic project of creating the bowl in the Square des Ursalines 4 years ago.
Consolidated team rider’s SEAN GUTIERREZ, DANGER & ROBERTO ALEMAN will be skating it up between punk bands, local Belgium Beer tastings, fireworks with an “anarchistic” live band.
