The Skateboard Plaza Resthof, located in steyr/upper-austria, was created during the year 2012 by local skateboarders and friends. Our main goal was to create skateboard ramps which fit our needs.

Ever since the old funbox in Hagen-Haspe got torn down the park needed a new main obstacle. With the Help of Klaas Kleinschmidt, from the Skateboard e.V. of Hagen, Ur-Haspe local Andre Neubert, and myself, we got the chance to give the park a little make over.
Catch a preview of the Skateboard Museum founded in 2003 in Stuttgart and planned to reopen in Berlin in 2014. The special preview exhibition at Stattbad will display an overview of the large and unique collection of exhibits from the Skateboard Museum archive which was put together over the past 10 Years.

On my way to Barcelona to infiltrate as a double agent: working for a big multinational as an artist and at the same time working as photojournalist for this almighty underground skateboard magazine. Self-portrait taken inside the train bathroom. Fuck airports and their tight-ass regulations. In the train I can bring a pair of big scissors, a knife, a skateboard and lots and lots of liquids.

Over the time, we got some experience with shaping concrete. And the first thing we learned is that we need good wooden trowels for the first contact with the concrete. Filling up holes and smoothing it roughly is the first step, waaay before you work with a metal trowel.
Last year came out new polish skateboard movie Grey Area. Everybody was super hyped. Dirty spots, DIY concrete and creativity on board. We interviewed Kuba Kaczmarczyk, the guy behind the whole thing, to ask some haunting questions.
Ianire is one in a million, a golden girl, a female who always skated because she loves it, a daring chica that swims against, anti fashion, for Iani, no time passes – she’s still able to win international championships with a humility worthy of praise…. Ianire is definitely special.
