For the ninth time this year, we organized Trukentroef!
In the pouring rain, we set up the tents and prayed that the weather gods would still be kind to us that day… fortunately, our prayers were heard, and the sun broke through around noon.
Once again, we welcomed many skaters and party animals from all over the country and beyond. It was a wonderful reunion with our German, Dutch, and French friends!

It’s become a tradition to give the youngest skaters a platform before all the “big boys” start skating. They immediately hit the ground running and showed us some daring tricks. It was fantastic to see participants even as young as three years old and people already screaming their lungs out to motivate the kids!
After the kids were done, it was time to test out our new obstacles: This year we tackled the rail, and the low bank got an update by setting a beautiful slappy upon it. Once again, everyone skated with gusto, both from the transition generation and the technical skaters. As every year, the bowl jam was the highlight of the day with dudes like Pieter De Clus, Ellis Ekkart, Tor Van Eysendeyk, Thibeau Cuynen and a dozen more who seem to skate the beast better by the year.

This year, a MVP was also chosen. The honor went to the handsome and young dude Nathan De Maeyer from Mechelen (where Belgium’s sickest DIY park is located by the way…)
After the contest, the party continued at JH Staminee with fantastic performances by the legendary Spanks, the boisterous Mitraille, Hoon from Australia, and our regular: Prince Beastly.

We’d like to thank everyone who volunteered (even our mayor came along to tap beer!!), our generous sponsors, our rockin’ DJs, the Yardkeepers who grilled up the delicious burgers, and Bram Roberto for the cool tattoos!
On to the next edition, and it’s going to be a special one: we’ll celebrate our tenth anniversary by giving it all again!! May 24, 2026, Trukentroef number 10, come party, come skate, come have a good time and let’s keep skateboarding punkrock!
