Etnies Skatepark’s new shark pool drew 500 skaters Friday night for the annual Hallows Eve Bowl Contest. The fourth annual event featured competitions in four divisions. Everyone wore costumes and the crowd was treated to live music by Killing California and skate rock legends JFA.
The bowl is located in Konstanz. The construction company is Bowl Construction from Switzerland (they also built Hard, St. Gallen and München Hirschgarten to name the good ones).
Finally, in Cologne, Germany, at the NorthBrigade skate park a new concrete bowl is being built!
The concrete had just finished hardening and it was time to give the “improved” barrier a proper shredding so Tony Chavez organized the first “Barrier Barge” event at the Ballina Skatepark in New South Wales, Oz. A last-minute decision put this event on a sunny Thursday afternoon and Tony brought out plenty of beer and snags, with TruckStop Sk8 shop, Confusion Magazine, and the Free Beule campaign throwing in some merchandise for prizes.

Late last year, another big concrete park was finished in Germany – more precisely in Hirschgarten (Munich). The pictures of the building process looked promising so we, a crew from guys around Tyrol (Austria), decided to check out the new concrete monster.
Burnside is the oldest D.I.Y skate park in the United States and possibly the world. This Halloween I was lucky enough to partake and enjoy the 20 year celebration of the park. This skate park began its form during one Halloween night 20 years ago. Almost every following Halloween there has been some kind of gathering and skating at the park to celebrate its creation and existence. And this year was no exception…

FDR local Adam Benson skates dirty & raw. Relocating from his home state of Delaware to California, where younger brother Colin Benson has already been lurking out in Santa Cruz for the last few years, the Benson Brothers are always up for raising havoc wherever they roam. The Roosevelt Park in San Jose is similar to the Santa Cruz skatepark. Not surprisingly, both are designed by everyone’s favorite skatepark designer, Zack Wormhoudt, who arguably has increasingly improved his skills by his 100th design attempt.
