Mr. Wilson DIY – 25 years party & backyard opening – Kassel, Germany

The BIG OPENING of this new epic skateboarding and subculture paradise is on August 30th 2014. There will be a sick skate jam / best trick session, a photo exhibition (25 years of skateboarding in Kassel), a few bands, an after show party and of course lots of friendly, crazy, hard partying people from (hopefully) everywhere in the world.

Mister Wilson Outdoor DIY Park – Kassel, Germany

A few years before we found the place where we built todays little skatehall paradise including germany’s first indoor concrete bowl and a big wooden street / flow section, we had a much smaller skatehall, just a few hundred meters from our current place.

Gathering of the tribes – Baum’s Birthday – Mr. Wilson Skate hall

Whether it be skateboarding, building skateparks, or partying, Baum goes all in – at least 100%. When I heard about Baum’s party taking place at the Mr. Wilson skate hall, the only indoor concrete bowl in Germany, I knew this was an occasion not to be missed.

Mr. Wilson Bowl – Kassel – Germany

Ever since I started skateboarding, it was not only about standing on a piece of plywood, but also about using all kinds of readily available material to shape your surroundings in order to be able to skate them – that’s what skateboarding to me is all about. The more skateparks that are being built, the harder it gets to deliver this message to the kids. It makes a huge different if you skate something that you built with your own hands. A homemade ramp can be all shitty and bumpy but it doesn’t matter because you designed and constructed it yourself.
