Maybe this ramp doesn’t look special to you, but it’s very special to a couple of guys who live in Slovenia where you can count these kind of places with the fingers of one hand. And if you cut one finger off you’ll get the number of skaters who don’t wear hair gel and who don`t skate on supermarket parking places. People will hate me even more for what I just wrote. Fuck them.
The epic build came about after Robin, Arne and Bobinski met the HolyStoked dudes at the Bangalore Skatepark in 2012, but no one could have predicted how amazing this whole event / trip was going to be…
Regensburg is a city located in southern Germany known more for its medieval city center and less for its relatively small but close knit skate scene. When we first entered the room, it was a full junkyard. But now, it is really a BEAUTY. Smooth to skate, a good couch, even a decent sound system. Over a year, we were working in small steps until we completed our indoor pool. We learned with every step new ways of building, so you’ll feel it in every corner, which are all different to skate, due to the learning process.
Here is the history of a little 500 square meter skate park that we built last autumn in Girona, Spain out of mostly recycled materials.
