In the summer of 2011 the news that the beloved BLACKCROSSBOWL was to be destroyed came true and plans were soon put into place to find a new space to build. After some intense dealings with permits and raising money the Basel crew, motivated as ever, started digging, laying iron and troweling concrete in the waste land around the port area of Basel.

SOMO Skatepark – Cantabria, Spain

In the small town of Somo, near the city of Santander on Spain’s northern coast, Zut Skateparks finished a new skatepark with a small bowl, an over vert wave and street course with various hips, lips and a volcano.

Amsterdam Pool Project: Holland

Happy 20th Birthday Burnside

Burnside is the oldest D.I.Y skate park in the United States and possibly the world. This Halloween I was lucky enough to partake and enjoy the 20 year celebration of the park. This skate park began its form during one Halloween night 20 years ago. Almost every following Halloween there has been some kind of gathering and skating at the park to celebrate its creation and existence. And this year was no exception…
