Mundaka is also where you can find one of the best waves in the world. Almost lost forever when they dredged the harbor, she has slowly returned to her glory. Each year they have the Billabong Pro where the river sand bars meet the pumping Atlantic swells. Although hard to predict, when she’s on, she’s definitely one of the longest barreling waves in the world, and all of Basque country surfers know this all to well. SO you probably won’t get a wave. But you can always watch from the sidelines, or try your luck with 100+ other surfers.
