Red – a What a Life short documentary

Jordan “Red” Toledo grew up skating Channel Street in San Pedro. It’s where he found friends, spent his days and became part of the local skate scene.

Seven months before filming, Red suffered a serious head injury after falling at Venice Skatepark while drunk. After a month in the hospital, he’s back at the park, wearing a helmet and working to get his tricks back.

Filmed and directed by French documentary filmmaker Valentine Di Marco, RED is a 10-minute film combining skating, archive footage and conversations about Red‘s past, the accident and what keeps him skating.

The film is part of What a Life, an independent documentary series about people in their element.
