“The same procedure as last year – or at least something similar. And once again, it happened during some of the hottest days of the year so far.
Münster Skateboarding e.V. was fortunate enough to receive a generous funding of €19,000, which we used to expand the street and flow area. To be more precise, we built four new obstacles and poured a 500 m2 flat.
In just one week, with the help of around 30 dedicated maniacs who were willing to spend their free time working in the scorching heat of Münster, we made it happen. Teams from Cologne, Aachen, Sauerland, Hamburg, and Stuttgart joined us and gave us a huge hand – once again: much love to everyone involved – DIY family showed off big time!
Just like last year, we managed to build several obstacles simultaneously while also sharing our knowledge with beginners and local kids who wanted to learn more. You always have to keep in mind: if you can’t finish school you can always finish concrete.
Now, all we can hope for is that the City of Münster extends our contract, which is currently set to expire in 2029.
Thank you again to everyone who lent a hand – whether by building, cooking, bringing cold beers, or simply cheering us on. Another huge shoutout to Yamato for supporting us once again with tools and a lot of love. And special thanks to Peter Rauch, who captured the entire week on camera.
Cheers to everyone involved, and here’s to another amazing building week in 2027!
