This year, the Lohse Ramp Association celebrated it’s 25th anniversary.
The party took place on June 28th in Lohse Park in Nippes, Cologne. From 1 p.m. until the early hours of the morning.
As every year, the Lohse E.V. association organizes the official party for the ramp. The event dedicated to the ramp includes a skateboarding competition in three categories: children, girls and boys. The requirements for participation are a basic level of skateboarding on a ramp. Each participant receives a free T-shirt as a souvenir of their participation. The finalists are evaluated by three judges, and the three best competitors in each category are chosen. It is important to note that although the event is organised professionally, it is not about being the best, but about bringing together all those who are passionate about skateboarding for an inclusive and unforgettable skateboarding session, both for the participants and the audience.
To accompany the event, the association teamed up with musicians, local restaurants, organisations, brands and skate shops, who are providing everything needed for such a special event.
The institutions present this year will be Tony Taco, a Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood that sold burritos, including vegan options. Goldener Schuss, a local bar that served cold drinks, spread across two bars. San Skate, a skateboarding organization from the Dominican Republic, and finally, skate brands and shops who donated cool stuff for the raffle, run by the “Lohse” association.
Two local punk bands, Milbendüsen and Galactic Superlords, provided the music and the DJ will made sure everyone danced until the sun came up.
