Downside DIY (@downside_diy) has been going since late 2022, built under a transit bridge in Tottenham, North London. From unused grim to popular skatepot, it has quickly become an integral part of the London Skate scene.
Dry 360 days a year, it is now a training camp for London’s underground skaters, with concrete ramps, ledges and moveable ply obstacles. It has become home away from home for many.
On July 6th 2025 Downside DIY organised and hosted a jam to raise money for SkatePal @skate_pal (a non-profit organisation supporting communities throughout Palestine, promoting the social, health and well-being benefits of skateboarding to enhance the lives of local youth) after completing a 13 foot concrete vert quarter with East London Skate Club, Cow Skate Shop and Tottenham BMX Club.
