It was the last session of the season for them before they fill it up for swimming this summer and taking their new rolling hotel / RV on the road. Evidently it is more expensive to keep it drained than filled, the water table is high and the pump runs constantly. The band Fujiwara from the Nags Head, North Carolina area were in town to play a show the following evening and then head to Columbia to record a new anthology of their music, so to warm up they hooked up with Otis and played a tight set poolside, finishing many encores just as the cops arrived… it was everything backyard skating should be… F U N.
