“Ay ay Pirates!
If you were there, you know words can’t explain the madness that was going on!
If you weren’t there, see you next year!” – Gnassis

Where there is a sea there are pirates….

Ostaer carving himself in for a sobering swim. ‘If ye thinks ye be ready to sail a beauty, ye better be willin’ to sink with her.’

Koekie. ‘Ye be sail’n amid a scurvy savagery, it’d be smarts of ya to keep yer langy-loving tongue where it belong, and not be sassing a cap’n.’

Sloerie carrying the flag and getting wasted ashore. ‘Wear ye best breeches and ye’ll shine like stars over the seven seas!’

Crazy Barna and Dirty Mike enjoying the golden liquid. ‘Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats’.

Wietse (one of the local little rippers) grinding his way into the water and everybody wetnessed it. ‘On ye way ye lilly-livered sissy before I throw ye to the sharks!’

After a tie with the best trick, Jeele Moens is pulling into the ‘not that cold and dirty’ pool. ‘Give me freedom or give me the rope. For I shall not take the shackles that subjugate the poor to uphold the rich.’

Captain Ben Gnassis. There comes a time in most men’s lives where they feel the need to raise the Black Flag. Leader of the pirate revolution.
Fifteen men on a dead man’s chest.
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
Drink and the devil have done for the rest.
